ATTENTION PARENTS - WINTER BREAK Y CAMP IS ACCEPTING SIGN UP ONLINE held Dec. 19th - December 26th (2 week program, sign up for one week or both), available at the Bradenton Branch, Lakewood Ranch Branch, and Parrish Branch.  Fee is $90.00 per child per week for members, all others $105.00 per week per child.

The Y provides before & after school care in select elementary and middle schools across the county. We provide a safe place& enriching programs for your child while you work. Day Camp

The Manatee County Y offers full day camp at the Bradenton Branch, Lakewood Ranch Branch and Parrish Branch during winter, spring and summer vacations.  Look for a Summer Camp brochure made available to parents February 2012.

Counselor In Training Summer Program

The Summer Day Camp Counselor-In-Training Program is a leadership training program for teens who enjoy working with children in a camp environment and are interested in becoming future Camp Counselors.  This program provides C.I.T.’s with hands on experience working with younger campers and the opportunity to cultivate their skills and knowledge in the day camp setting. These life skill experiences help develop the whole person and will help youth to realize their potential. Participants will earn community services hours while learning and having fun. Review the CIT (Counselor In Training) Packet.

Bradenton Branch YMCA Academy

This is a before and after school program for Moody Elementary students. Provided by and held at the Bradenton Branch YMCA. The program is designed to build healthy spirit, mind, body by having your child participate in a variety of programs. The programs include: youth sports, arts and crafts, fit kids, science & nature, swimming, karate, tutoring/homework time, cooking, dance, and more! Children who attend the program receive Wednesday early out day at no additional charge ($8.00/day for non-participants to attend Wednesdays only). Register at the Bradenton Branch YMCA. Held - AM- 6:30-until school begins / PM-School dismissal until 6:00 PM.


School Age Before and After Program

The School Age Before and After Program offers your child a curriculum based on character & asset development, recreation, arts, education, and sports. Programs are conducted on-site at Bayshore, Moody,  Prine and Stewart Elementary schools. Moody students are served at Bradenton Branch location - please see "YMCA Academy" for more details on that program. Print Registration Form and Health and Permission Form.  Please note: Palm View program has been cancelled, effective 10/5/11.


Sugg Middle School Before Program

Held at the Bradenton Branch. This morning program is to help out parents who have young teenagers to have a place for them to go prior to school beginning each day. Your child will have fun playing ball in the gym, hanging in the Teen Center and more!


Sugg After School Program

Need a fun yet safe place for your middle school child to hang out after school? Your pre-teen will have loads of fun in the Y Game Room and Teen Center at the Bradenton Branch Y. Sign up available online or visit the branch.


Middle School Before & After School Program

The YMCA offers recreational and educational programs at select middle schools across Manatee County. Schools include Braden River, Buffalo Creek, Haile, Johnson (am only), King, Lee, Lincoln, Nolan and Sugg (see above for Sugg Middle information). Activites include tutoring/homework help, indoor & outdoor sports, TSA, science club, book club, cooking, FCAT prep and many more. (activities vary by location).  Fee for program is $105.00 per quarter. Print the Middle School Registration form and Health and Permission Form.

School Day Off Programs

This program is a fun-filled day of activities when school is not in session. Activities include sports, archery, arts & crafts, character development, swimming, and more. Please have your child bring snacks, lunch, and plenty to drink (towel & bathing suit, if swimming is available). For your child's safety, please have them wear comfortable clothing and closed toe-shoes, no sandals please. Click here to view the Bradenton Branch No School Day Flyer.

Wednesday Only Child Care

The YMCA School Age Child Care program offers a curriculum based on education, recreation, arts, and sports. We offer a Wednesday ONLY child care program for those families that only need care for their child on the early release day. The month must be pre-registered and paid in full on a monthly basis. Program is available at Bayshore, Moody (held at Bradenton Branch Y), Palm View, Prine and Stewart Elementary Schools. Print a registration form for Wednesday Only Program and Health and Permission Form.
