ARTS PROGRAMSDance

MOMMY & ME
This class is a wonderful way for 2-3yr. old children to experience dance. Having their mom or dad in class with them works wonders in giving children confidence, making them feel safe, and helping them learn steps. Instructor: Lauren Wetzel

CREATIVE MOVEMENTS
Offers your preschooler, ages 4-6yrs. the opportunity to
discover the joy of dance, music and movement, while building a foundation of independence, self-confidence and body awareness. Instructor: Lauren Wetzel

TUMBLING
Come tumble, hop, roll and leap with us! This is a safe introduction to skills that give the students a different sense of spatial awareness, while building strength and increasing flexibility. Instructor: Lauren Wetzel

JAZZ
This fun and upbeat class will get ages 6-12yrs. up and moving while introducing warm-ups, stretches, and dynamic combinations to upbeat contemporary music and also includes introduction to leaps and turns. Instructor: Lauren Wetzel

PRE BALLET CLASSES
YMCA Dance classes are designed to focus on balance, grace, body alignment and fun! Participants will learn basic skills, simple ballet positions with creative movement. Instructor: Hope Hahn

BALLET
Ballet is integral to the presentation of all dance forms. This Ballet class for ages 6-12yrs. will teach grace, poise, correct body alignment and technique. The class will help students form the proper skills required to be a dancer, while still enjoying the freedom of movement and beauty that is ballet.
Instructor: Lauren Weel

HIP HOP
Ages 7-13yrs., upbeat class for 1 hour packed with fun filled warm ups, stretches and a diversity of hip-hop moves and dance. Instructor: Hope Hahn

DANZFUSION
Adults can dance too at the YMCA! Learn various forms and styles of dance as well as various exercise components. Instructor: Lauren Wetzel
