Family
Two adults living together in a marital relationship & Unmarried, dependent children 20 years of age or younger.
Couple
Two adults living together in a marital relationship.
Adult
Any person 21 years or older.
Senior Adult
Age 62 and older.
Senior Couple
2 adults living together in a marital relationship, one being 62 or older.
Teen
Individuals 14 thru 20 years of age.
Single Parent
One parent in the household with dependent children 20 years of age or younger.
Seasonal
Due to the vast amount of winter visitors that live in Manatee County, the YMCA offers an option to place a membership on HOLD (minimum 5 months/maximum 9 months). To place a membership on HOLD please stop by the front desk to fill out a Membership Change Form. Please note: Membership fees on hold will stop and resume according to arrangements made at the time a HOLD is requested.
Regional
Visitors who live in another county and are members of one of the following YMCAs: Sarasota, Tampa, Lakeland, St. Petersburg, Suncoast and Lake Wales may utilize branch facilities at the Manatee County YMCA at no additional charge (Manatee County YMCA member program discounts do not apply). Membership must be purchased in the county of residence.
Military
“No Cost” memberships are available for families of deployed military personnel. For further information and eligibility please call Military OneSource at 1-800-342-9647. Please note the following are NOT eligible: Retirees, new recruits, Coast Guard, Homeland Security, parents of military deployed.

MEMBERSHIP INCLUDES

Please note:  To join the Manatee County YMCA please visit a branch. Online registration for membership is not available (renewals are available online). We want to ensure when joining the Y, you have the opportunity to meet staff members and receive a tour of YOUR YMCA!

Full access to all branches of the Manatee County YMCA; facilities include pool, fitness center, gymnasium, locker rooms, saunas (Lakewood Ranch Branch), multi-purpose rooms and game room/teen center (Bradenton & Parrish Branches). Members receive priority registration for programs and discounted fees. In addition, Family Members receive FREE Youth Sports, Swimming Lessons and baby-sitting (Kid’s Zone) up to two hours per day while parent works out. Ask About the Member Get a Member Program! Parrish Branch only memberships are also available.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
Scholarships are available for membership and/or programs for individuals who do not have the ability to pay. Applications for scholarships are available at the front desk. A confidential interview will be scheduled after your application is reviewed and income verification will be conducted to determine the amount of scholarship awarded. No one will be turned away at the YMCA due to the inability to pay.

PAYMENT METHODS
ANNUAL
The member pays in full a one-year membership to the YMCA. The YMCA will accept cash, check, money order, Mastercard or Visa as payment for membership. This is a non-refundable and non-transferable membership. Membership expires 1 year after date of enrollment.

BANK DRAFT
The member authorizes their bank to make an automatic monthly payment through their checking or savings account. Payment is continuous until membership is terminated by the member. To terminate a bank draft membership, a Membership Change Form must be completed (available at the front desk) and returned along with membership ID card. Membership termination is effective 30 days after notice is received. Changes in bank information requested by a member must be submitted to the YMCA front desk approximately 30 days prior to effective date (next draft date). At time of enrollment member will be responsible for payment of pro-rated current month’s fee in addition to the following month’s fee.

JOINING FEE
This fee is applied to the building fund for future equipment and renovations. The Joining Fee must be paid at the time of enrollment. As long as the YMCA membership is continuous, this is a one-time fee.

 

YOUR MEMBERSHIP CARD MAKES YOU SPECIAL

The YMCA computer system has been designed to serve you the best way possible and make your registration for programs and membership simple & accurate. Your ID card is more important than you may know! You, as a member, are required to scan your card each time you visit YOUR YMCA. By scanning your card, we can keep accurate statistics of facility use on which to base future expansion decisions, and ensure that only members and their guests are using the facility.


Try not to lose your Membership ID card! The cost to replace it is $10.00.
