SOUTH BRANCH YMCA JOB OPPORTUNITIES


JOB TITLE: Middle School Group Leader, Part Time
Job Description: Assist Middle School Site Director with daily setup for program. Willing to help students with homework and help with organized clubs and activities offered through the YMCA. Supervise the safety of all students in the YMCA program. Before School (7:00 or 7:30 AM until 9:15 AM) & After School (4:00 PM until 5:30 or 6:00 PM) Wednesday after school hours are to be determined. Part Time/Seasonal (August-May School Year). Ensure all safety procedures are followed according to YMCA policies and procedures. Model, practice and carry out the Y values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility. Job Qualifications: Experience in childcare. Strong interpersonal and communication skills required. Ability to work with youth and families from a variety of backgrounds. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be physically capable of observing and listening for children at all times and capable of lifting 40 pounds. Must pass child abuse screening, local law enforcement records check. CPR/First aid a plus.

JOB TITLE: Summer Camp Counselor
Description: In accordance with the Christian Principles of the YMCA the Camp Counselor will direct and supervise camp activities ensuring developmentally appropriate practices and attention to the safety and individual needs of each camper while modeling, practicing and carrying out the “Y” values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.
Qualifications: Experience working with children, pass child abuse and police record screening, and CPR-PR (can be completed within 30 days of hire).

JOB TITLE: School Age Group Leader

from a variety of backgrounds. Ability to work independently and as part
of a team. Must pass child abuse screening, local law enforcement records check,
and a pre-employment drug screen. Bilingual and CPR/First Aid a plus.

JOB TITLE: Lifeguard
Description: To ensure the safety of all participants in the aquatics environment at all times; and when not actively involved with surveillance, to perform pool maintenance and cleaning duties as needed.
Qualifications: Minimum 18 years of age. Current certification in American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, First Aid, and Oxygen Administration (with YMCA crossover). Current YMCA, American Red Cross, or Ellis Lifeguard training and certification. Must have an interest in working with all types of people and help them develop in healthy spirit, mind, and body.

LAKEWOOD RANCH BRANCH YMCA JOB OPPORTUNITIES

JOB TITLE: Cheerleading Instructor, part time
Hours: 2-4 hours per week for a minimum of 10 weeks per season for three seasons per year.
Job Description: To provide leadership as a coach and serve as a positive role model for a YMCA Cheerleading Program.
Job Qualifications: Minimum age 18 or a minimum of 2-year experience. Must have basic knowledge and be willing to learn more about cheerleading. Must have an interest in working with all types of people and help them develop in healthy spirit, mind and body. Must have current certification in Professional CPR and First Aid.

JOB TITLE: Group Exercise Instructor (Yoga, Weight Training) part time
Job Description: Looking for a nationally certified group exercise instructor with experience teaching Yoga and Weight Training classes for Sat., AM class times.
Job Qualifications: National Group Exercise Certification, CPR/AED and First Aid Certifications within first 30 days for employment.

JOB TITLE: Personal Trainer, Part Time
Hours: Mornings, afternoons, weekends
Description: Work one-on-one with a diverse population, creating individualized workouts to help clients reach health and fitness goals. A minimum of 8 hours per week supervising the fitness floor is required.
Qualifications/Certifications: Must be a certified Personal Trainer through AFAA, ACSM, NSCA, NASM, or ACE. CPR/AED/First Aid required within 30 days of hire. Ability to set-up safe and effective programs for healthy, high risk, teen, and elderly populations.

Description: Ensure the safety of all participants in the aquatics environment at all times; and when not actively involved with surveillance, to perform pool maintenance and cleaning duties as needed.
Qualifications/Certifications: Minimum 16 years of age, current certification in American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED and First Aid. Completion of Oxygen Administration certification training within 90 days of hire. Current YMCA, American Red Cross or Ellis Lifeguard training and certification.

JOB TITLE: Water Aerobic Instructor
Hours: Seasonal, Part Time, Monday & Wednesday at 5:45pm and Saturday at 9:15am.
Description: Water Fitness Instructor needed for the Bradenton Branch YMCA to teach group exercise classes in the pool.
Qualifications/Certifications: CPR, First Aid, Group Exercise and/or Water Fitness Certification preferred but not necessary. Will certify.
