Youth Development at the Y

The Manatee County Y is very excited to announce that the "Youth Development Program" has begun at all branches.  This program enhances our current goal setting program, and develops youth in our community to become the leaders of tomorrow. All departments that work with children, at all branches participate.  Look for the Academic Achievement Display currently at all branches. The display recognizes each Youth Y participate (members and non-members) who successfully reach their goals in school while balancing extracurricular activities.  The categories are:

The Excellence Board is for those participates that achieve a 3.5 GPA in school. This board is open to all members and participants who reach this goal on a quarterly basis.  

The Advancement Board is for those participants that demonstrate a significant improvement in one or more subjects in school. This improvement can be from one quarter to another or from mid-quarter to the final grade for the quarter.
