The Manatee County Y has been awarded BEST HEALTH CLUB IN MANATEE COUNTY by  Herald Tribune ReadersChoice 2014!

The Y consists of men, women and children of all ages, from all walks of life joining together to strengthen the foundations of our community. With a commitment to nurturing the potential in children, promoting healthy living, and fostering a sense of social responsibility, the Y ensures that every individual has access to the essentials necessary to learn, grow, and thrive. If you are not already part of the Y family, now is the best time to join! YMCA MISSION: To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all. Something good, something refreshing, something that could change your life forever, is waiting for you at the Y!

We need you to help students in kindergarten through 3rd grade, who are struggling in reading every day. The YMCA READS! Program offers a freementoring program to help students to succeed in school. Becoming a volunteer/mentor is a very easy process. Just a few hours a week can make a huge difference in a child’s life, and you will find it very rewarding as well.  If you have a love for education and are able to commit to just 1-2 hours a week with our YMCA READS! Contact the Bradenton Branch at 792-7484 for more information.
